11 popular figures will be in the cockpit of Formula E cars next week.
With the Chiang Mai, Thailand ePrix having been cancelled as a result of political unrest, Formula E had to get creative filling the otherwise two months long break between races. They came up with a very unique idea:
Formula E Evo Session. What is that, you may ask?
Location: Miami International Autodrome
Date: 5th–6th March 2025
This unique event places well-known personalities into the cockpits of the cutting-edge Formula E Gen3 Evo cars, giving them first-hand experience of what it takes to compete at the highest level of electric motorsport. Each participant will be paired with a professional Formula E driver, who will mentor them through the intricacies of the sport—both physically and mentally.
But who are these lucky individuals who get to drive these incredible machines?

Emelia Hartford (aka @ms.emelia) – Maserati with Stoffel Vandoorne
Actress and Record-Breaking Car Builder (USA)
Hartford is an automotive content creator, best recognised for her custom-built performance cars. She shot to fame after modifying a
Corvette C8 into one of the world’s fastest custom versions and later shattered the quarter-mile record for the
Nissan Z in December 2024.
Sergio Agüero – Porsche with Pascal Wehrlein
Football Icon (Argentina)
The former Manchester City, Atlético Madrid, and Argentina national team striker has swapped his football boots for a racing helmet. Retired from professional football,
Agüero is no stranger to competition, and he’ll be under the expert guidance of reigning Formula E champion Pascal Wehrlein.
Tom Felton – Envision Racing with Sébastien Buemi ( & Alice Powell)

British actor Lucien Laviscount, best known for his role in Netflix’s Emily in Paris, was also supposed to participate in the Evo Sessions. Formula E, however, announced that his participation fell through, as he landed a new role and had to be on set filming. He was supposed to drive for Mahindra but was then replaced by Theo Baker.
